The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ The Compassionate. 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 He created man 3 He taught distinctness. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 And the plants and the trees prostrate (for Him). 6 He raised the heavens and set up the measure, 7 That you not transgress within the balance. 8 And observe correct measure, weigh with justice, and not cheat the balance. 9 And the earth has He spread out for all living beings, 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 and a variety of corn with both husk and grain. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created man from clay like [that of] pottery. 14 And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke: 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests: 17 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. 20 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 21 From these seas come forth pearls and coral. 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains. 24 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 25
