The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Beneficent (God) 1 Hath taught the Qur'an. 2 He has created man: 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 The sun and the moon run on their fixed courses (exactly) calculated with measured out stages for each (for reckoning, etc.). 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 He raised the heavens and set up everything in balance, 7 That you not transgress within the balance. 8 And observe correct measure, weigh with justice, and not cheat the balance. 9 And He has set up the earth for all beings. 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees sheathed. 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 13 He has created man out of sounding clay, like pottery, 14 and He created the jinns from a flame of fire. 15 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 16 (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests: 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 23 His are the ships with elevated sails upon the sea like mountains. 24 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 25
