78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ The Beneficent 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 He created the human 3 Taught him the mode of expression. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning, 5 [before Him] prostrate themselves the stars and the trees. 6 And the heaven! He hath elevated it, and He hath set the balance. 7 So that none may err against the scales, 8 Give just weight and do not skimp the scales. 9 And He appointed the earth for the creatures. 10 therein fruits, and palm-trees with sheaths, 11 and grain growing tall on its stalks, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 13 He created man from dry clay like earthen vessels, 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 18 He has let forth the two seas, they meet together, 19 Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. 20 Which of the wonders of your Lord will you twain you men and jinn then deny? 21 Pearls and coral-stone come forth from them. 22 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 23 His are the ships, towering on the sea like mountains. 24 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 25
