The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ THE MOST GRACIOUS 1 It is He Who has taught the Qur'an. 2 He created man. 3 and taught him its pronunciation. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 The plants and trees prostrate before Him. 6 And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 And observe the weight with equity, and make not deficient the balance. 9 He has laid out the earth for His creatures. 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 Grain with husk, and fragrant grasses. 12 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord, will ye twain belie? 13 He created man of a clay like the potter's, 14 and He created the jinn of a smokeless fire. 15 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 [yet] between them is a barrier which they may not transgress. 20 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 23 To Him only belong the sailing ships, raised above the sea like hills. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
