The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Merciful 1 Taught the Quran. 2 He created the human 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning. 5 And the herbs and the trees do obeisance. 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 so that you [too, O men,] might never transgress the measure [of what is right]: 8 And observe the weight with equity, and make not deficient the balance. 9 He set down the earth for the creation. 10 On it are fruits and palm-trees with sheathed clusters [of dates], 11 Also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 13 He created man from dry clay like earthen vessels, 14 And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. 15 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 16 [He is] the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunrise, and the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunset. 17 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 18 He has let forth the two seas, they meet together, 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 23 To Him only belong the sailing ships, raised above the sea like hills. 24 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
