The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ The Beneficent Allah, 1 Taught the Quran. 2 He created man, 3 He taught him eloquent speech. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning. 5 The stars and the trees prostrate. 6 He raised the heaven on high and set the scale. 7 so that you [too, O men,] might never transgress the measure [of what is right]: 8 So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 And grain covered with husk, and fragrant flowers. 12 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 13 He has created man out of sounding clay, like pottery, 14 And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 18 He hath loosed the two seas. They meet. 19 Between them is a barrier which they cannot pass. 20 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 21 Pearls and corals come from both. 22 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 25
