The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 He has created man: 3 and has taught him intelligible speech. 4 The sun and the moon are in a reckoning. 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 And the heaven He has raised high, and He has set up the Balance. 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 Always measure with justice and do not give short measure. 9 And He has set up the earth for all beings. 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Which of the bounties of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 13 He created man from clay like [that of] pottery. 14 and has created the jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 16 Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests! 17 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 18 He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: 19 Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 There come forth from them pearls, both large and small. 22 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 23 To Him only belong the sailing ships, raised above the sea like hills. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
