The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 has created man, 3 and has taught him intelligible speech. 4 [At His behest] the sun and the moon run their appointed courses; 5 [before Him] prostrate themselves the stars and the trees. 6 He raised the heaven on high and set the scale. 7 so that you would maintain justice. 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 There exists all kinds of fruits, palm-trees with sheathed blossoms, 11 And the grain with (its) husk and fragrance. 12 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord, will ye twain belie? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 16 Lord of both the Easts, and Lord of both the Wests! 17 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 18 He unleashed the two seas so that they merge together, 19 Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 23 And His are the lofty ships that sail like [floating] mountains through the seas. 24 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 25
