The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Most Merciful 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 He hath created man. 3 He taught him eloquent speech. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 9 And He appointed the earth for the creatures. 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 and grain in the blade, and fragrant herbs. 12 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created the human from clay, like earthenware 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 16 Lord of the East and Lord of the West. 17 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 18 He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]; 19 [yet] between them is a barrier which they may not transgress. 20 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 21 From the two oceans comes pearls and coral. 22 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25
