The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Beneficent Allah, 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 Created man, 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and moon revolve to a computation; 5 And the herbs (or stars) and the trees both prostrate. 6 and heaven -- He raised it up, and set the Balance. 7 In order that you may not transgress (due) balance. 8 And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. 9 And the earth has He spread out for all living beings, 10 On it are fruits and palm-trees with sheathed clusters [of dates], 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery. 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie 16 He is the Lord of the two easts and the Lord of the two wests. 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He has made the two oceans meet each other, 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone. 22 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 23 By His command, the ships with raised masts sail on the sea like mountains. 24 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 25
