The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 has taught the Qur'an, 2 He created man 3 He has taught him speech (and intelligence). 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning. 5 The stars and the trees prostrate. 6 and heaven -- He raised it up, and set the Balance. 7 In order that you may not transgress (due) balance. 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 He positioned the earth for all the creatures: 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 And also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-scented plants. 12 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 13 He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery. 14 And created jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has given freedom to the two great bodies of water, so that they might meet: 19 With an interstice between them which they cannot cross. 20 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 21 There come forth from them pearls, both large and small. 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 His are the high-sailed vessels in deep ocean like the mountains. 24 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 25
