The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Merciful 1 Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him). 2 has created man, 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 Therein are fruits and palm trees with sheaths, 11 And grain covered with husk, and fragrant flowers. 12 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 13 He created the human being from clay like that used for pottery 14 And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 18 He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: 19 and yet there is a barrier between them which they may not overstep. 20 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
