The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Most Merciful 1 has taught the Qur'an, 2 He created man 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 And the herbs and the trees - both (alike) prostrate in adoration. 6 And the heaven! He hath elevated it, and He hath set the balance. 7 So that none may err against the scales, 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 And the earth He has put for the creatures. 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 and grains with their husk and fragrant plants. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery. 14 And created jinn from the flame of fire. 15 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests! 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He hath let loose the two seas. 19 and between them is a barrier which they do not overpass. 20 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 21 From the two oceans comes pearls and coral. 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
