The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Beneficent Allah, 1 Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him). 2 He created man 3 and has taught him intelligible speech. 4 The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation, 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 So that none may err against the scales, 8 So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 There are fruits of all kinds on it, and date-palms with their clusters sheathed, 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 and jinn from the many colored flames of fire. 15 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 Between them is a barrier which they cannot pass. 20 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 21 There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone. 22 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 23 His are the lofty ships, that rear aloft on the sea like mountains. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
