The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Beneficent (God) 1 has taught the Koran. 2 Has created Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) as the soul of mankind. 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning. 5 and the stars and the trees all prostrate themselves, 6 He raised the heavens and set up the measure, 7 In order that you may not corrupt the balance. 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 And the earth, He has set it for living creatures; 10 Therein are fruits, date-palms producing sheathed fruit-stalks (enclosing dates). 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 13 He has created man from dry, rotten clay like the potter's, 14 And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke: 15 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie 16 [He is] the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunrise, and the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunset. 17 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 18 He unleashed the two seas so that they merge together, 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 21 From these seas come forth pearls and coral. 22 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 23 His are the ships, towering on the sea like mountains. 24 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 25
