The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ The Compassionate. 1 Has taught (you mankind) the Quran (by His Mercy). 2 has created man, 3 and taught him its pronunciation. 4 The sun and the moon run on their fixed courses (exactly) calculated with measured out stages for each (for reckoning, etc.). 5 And the herbs and the trees do prostrate (to Him). 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 And keep up the balance with equity and do not make the measure deficient. 9 He set down the earth for the creation. 10 Therein are fruits, date-palms producing sheathed fruit-stalks (enclosing dates). 11 Grain with husk, and fragrant grasses. 12 Which of the bounties of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 13 He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery, 14 And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests! 17 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
