The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 Taught the Qur'an, 2 Created man, 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 The stars and the trees prostrate. 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 weigh, therefore, [your deeds] with equity, and cut not the measure short! 9 And the earth! He hath lain it out for the creatures. 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 Also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 13 He has created man out of sounding clay, like pottery, 14 And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. 15 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 16 Lord of both the Easts, and Lord of both the Wests! 17 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 18 He has made the two oceans meet each other, 19 but has created a barrier between them so that they will not merge totally. 20 Which of the wonders of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 25
