The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The All-merciful 1 Has taught (you mankind) the Quran (by His Mercy). 2 He created man. 3 and has taught him articulate speech. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning, 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure, 7 That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. 8 But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 13 He created man of a clay like the potter's, 14 And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 18 He has given freedom to the two great bodies of water, so that they might meet: 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 21 From these seas come forth pearls and coral. 22 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
