The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Most Beneficent (Allah)! 1 has imparted this Qur'an [unto man]. 2 He created man. 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and moon revolve to a computation; 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 He raised the heaven on high and set the scale. 7 That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. 8 So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 9 And He appointed the earth for the creatures. 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees sheathed. 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 13 He created man from dry clay like earthen vessels, 14 And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 The Lord of the Two Easts, the Lord of the Two Wests. 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: 19 In-between the twain is a barrier which they pass not. 20 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 25
