The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The Beneficent Allah, 1 Hath made known the Qur'an. 2 He has created man: 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 He raised the heavens and set up the measure, 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 And keep up the balance with equity and do not make the measure deficient. 9 And earth -- He set it down for all beings, 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 13 He created the human being from clay like that used for pottery 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 16 (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests: 17 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 18 He hath let loose the two seas. 19 and between them is a barrier which they do not overpass. 20 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 21 From both of them emerge pearl and coral. 22 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 23 And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains: 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
