The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Beneficent (God) 1 has taught the Koran. 2 Created man, 3 and has taught him articulate speech. 4 The sun and moon revolve to a computation; 5 The plants and trees prostrate before Him. 6 And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 And the earth! He hath lain it out for the creatures. 10 There are fruits of all kinds on it, and date-palms with their clusters sheathed, 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 and He created the jinns from a flame of fire. 15 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 16 [He is] the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunrise, and the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunset. 17 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 18 He hath let loose the two seas. 19 Between them is a barrier which they cannot pass. 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 Pearls and corals come from both. 22 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 23 His are the high-sailed vessels in deep ocean like the mountains. 24 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 25
