The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ THE MOST GRACIOUS 1 Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him). 2 He created the human being 3 He taught distinctness. 4 The sun and the moon move according to a fixed reckoning; 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 That you may not be inordinate in respect of the measure. 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 therein fruits, and palm-trees with sheaths, 11 Husked grain and scented herb. 12 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie 16 (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests: 17 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 18 He has let forth the two seas, they meet together, 19 In-between the twain is a barrier which they pass not. 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 Out of them come pearls and coral. 22 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 23 By His command, the ships with raised masts sail on the sea like mountains. 24 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 25
