The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The Beneficent Allah, 1 Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him). 2 has created man, 3 Taught him the mode of expression. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), 7 In order that you may not corrupt the balance. 8 Therefore, maintain just measure and do not transgress against the Balance. 9 He has laid out the earth for His creatures. 10 Therein are fruits, date-palms producing sheathed fruit-stalks (enclosing dates). 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? 13 He created the human from clay, like earthenware 14 and He created the jinns from a flame of fire. 15 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He has set the two oceans in motion, converging together. 19 Between them is a barrier which they cannot pass. 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 23 His are the ships, towering on the sea like mountains. 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25
