The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ The Merciful 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 Created man, 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 The sun and moon rotate in a predestined orbit. 5 And the herbs (or stars) and the trees both prostrate. 6 And the heaven! He hath elevated it, and He hath set the balance. 7 In order that you may not transgress (due) balance. 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 And the earth He has put for the creatures. 10 There exists all kinds of fruits, palm-trees with sheathed blossoms, 11 And also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-scented plants. 12 Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 and jinn from the many colored flames of fire. 15 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 18 He has let forth the two seas, they meet together, 19 and between them is a barrier which they do not overpass. 20 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 21 From these seas come forth pearls and coral. 22 Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 25

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
