The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 He created man 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 The stars and the trees prostrate. 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 He positioned the earth for all the creatures: 10 therein fruits, and palm-trees with sheaths, 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 And created jinns from the white-hot flame of fire. 15 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 16 The Lord of the Two Easts, the Lord of the Two Wests. 17 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 18 He has given freedom to the two great bodies of water, so that they might meet: 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 Out of these two [bodies of water] come forth pearls, both great and small. 22 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 23 And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains. 24 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 25
