The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Most Beneficent (Allah)! 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 Has created Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) as the soul of mankind. 3 Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. 4 The sun and the moon are in a reckoning. 5 The stars and the trees prostrate. 6 And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure, 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 Therefore, maintain just measure and do not transgress against the Balance. 9 He set down the earth for the creation. 10 There are fruits of all kinds on it, and date-palms with their clusters sheathed, 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 13 He created man of fermented clay dried tinkling hard like earthen ware, 14 and has created the jinn from the flame of fire. 15 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 16 (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests: 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He has let forth the two seas, they meet together, 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 23 And His are the lofty ships that sail like [floating] mountains through the seas. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
