The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 has taught the Qur'an, 2 Created man, 3 He has imparted unto him articulate thought and speech. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 so that you should not transgress the measure. 8 So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 9 And the earth, He has set it for living creatures; 10 therein fruits, and palm-trees with sheaths, 11 and a variety of corn with both husk and grain. 12 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 13 He has created man out of sounding clay, like pottery, 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 (He is) the Lord of the two easts (places of sunrise during early summer and early winter) and the Lord of the two wests (places of sunset during early summer and early winter). 17 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 18 He hath loosed the two seas. They meet. 19 Between them is a barrier which they cannot pass. 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 Out of them come pearls and coral. 22 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 25
