The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ The Most Beneficent (Allah)! 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 Created man, 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and moon revolve to a computation; 5 The plants and trees prostrate before Him. 6 and heaven -- He raised it up, and set the Balance. 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 He set down the earth for the creation. 10 Therein are fruits, date-palms producing sheathed fruit-stalks (enclosing dates). 11 And also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-scented plants. 12 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 and He created the jinn of a smokeless fire. 15 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 16 The Lord of the Two Easts, the Lord of the Two Wests. 17 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 21 Out of these two [bodies of water] come forth pearls, both great and small. 22 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 23 His are the high-sailed vessels in deep ocean like the mountains. 24 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 25

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
