The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 Hath taught the Qur'an. 2 He created man 3 He taught distinctness. 4 The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation, 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 That you not transgress within the balance. 8 And observe correct measure, weigh with justice, and not cheat the balance. 9 And the earth has He spread out for all living beings, 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 13 He created man of fermented clay dried tinkling hard like earthen ware, 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 Pearls and corals come from both. 22 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 25
