▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
There are two gardens for one who fears standing before his Lord. 46 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 47 With spreading branches. 48 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 49 In both of them are two springs, flowing. 50 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 51 In which are fruits of all kinds, each of two varieties. 52 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 53 (They shall) recline on couches lined with brocade, and the fruits of the Gardens will be near at hand. 54 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 55 Therein are maidens of modest gaze, whom neither a man nor a jinn had ever touched before them. 56 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 57 Like unto Rubies and coral. 58 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 59 Is there any reward for good other than good? 60 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 61 And besides these two, there are two other Gardens (i.e. in Paradise). 62 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - 63 Densely covered with foliage, appearing dark. 64 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 65 In them (both) will be two springs gushing forth water. 66 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 67 In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates. 68 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 69 Wherein (are found) the good and beautiful - 70 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 71 Companions restrained (as to their glances), in (goodly) pavilions;- 72 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 73 Untouched by any man or jinn, before them. 74 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 75 Reclining on green cushions and rich beautiful mattresses. 76 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 77 Blessed is the Name of your Lord, the Lord of Glory and Grace. 78
