Al-Rahman 3 of 3
But for him who feareth the standing before his Lord there are two gardens. 46 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 47 Having numerous branches. 48 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 49 In both of them are two fountains flowing. 50 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 51 In them there are pairs of each kind of fruit. 52 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 53 They shall recline on couches lined with brocade, and within reach shall hang the fruits of the two Gardens. 54 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 55 In them are women limiting [their] glances, untouched before them by man or jinni - 56 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 57 (In beauty) they are like rubies and coral. 58 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 59 Shall the recompense of goodness be anything other than goodness? 60 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 61 And besides these two are two (other) gardens: 62 jinn and mankind - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny 63 green, green pastures -- 64 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 65 Therein are two gushing fountains of water. 66 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 67 Wherein is fruit, the date-palm and pomegranate. 68 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 69 In them are good and beautiful women - 70 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? - 71 Houris cloistered in pavilions -- 72 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? - 73 Undeflowered by man or by jinn before them, -- 74 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 75 Reclining on green Cushions and rich Carpets of beauty. 76 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 77 Blessed be the Name of your Lord, Majestic, Splendid. 78

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
