▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
And for one who fears to stand before his Lord, are two Gardens. 46 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 47 Having [spreading] branches. 48 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 49 In them (each) will be two Springs flowing (free); 50 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 51 In both of them there will be every kind of fruits in pairs. -- 52 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 53 Reclining upon couches lined with silk brocade, the fruit of both the gardens near to hand. 54 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 55 Wherein both will be those (maidens) restraining their glances upon their husbands, whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them. 56 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 57 They are like rubies and coral-stone. 58 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 59 Shall the recompense of goodness be other than goodness? 60 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 61 And besides these two other gardens -- 62 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 63 Dark green (in colour). 64 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 65 Wherein are two abundant springs. 66 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 67 In them will be Fruits, and dates and pomegranates: 68 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 69 Therein (gardens) will be fair (wives) good and beautiful; 70 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 71 Fair ones, confined in tents. 72 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 73 [companions] whom neither man nor invisible being will have touched ere then. 74 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 75 reclining upon green cushions and lovely druggets -- 76 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 77 HALLOWED be thy Sustainer's name, full of majesty and glory! 78
