▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
BUT FOR THOSE who of their Sustainer's Presence stand in fear, two gardens [of paradise are readied] 46 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 47 With spreading branches; 48 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 49 In the two Gardens flow two springs. 50 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 51 In which will be of every fruit two kinds. 52 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 53 (The dwellers of Paradise) will recline on couches lined with silk brocade and it will be easy to reach the ripe fruits from the two gardens. 54 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 55 Upon thrones are the women who do not gaze at men except their husbands, and before them, are untouched by any man or jinn. 56 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 57 As though they are jacinth and coral. 58 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 59 Shall the recompense of goodness be other than goodness? 60 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 61 And besides these shall be two gardens -- 62 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 63 Densely covered with foliage, appearing dark. 64 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 65 In [each of] these two [gardens] will two springs gush forth. 66 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 67 Wherein is fruit, the date-palm and pomegranate. 68 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 69 therein maidens good and comely -- 70 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 71 Maidens (of Paradise, Houris) in cloistered cool pavilions. 72 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 73 No man or jinn ever touched them before. 74 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and rich beautiful mattresses. 76 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 77 Blessed be the name of thy Lord, full of Majesty, Bounty and Honour. 78
True are the words of God the Almighty.
