▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
BUT FOR THOSE who of their Sustainer's Presence stand in fear, two gardens [of paradise are readied] 46 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 47 [two gardens] of many wondrous hues. 48 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 49 In which, will be two fountains running. 50 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 51 Wherein is every kind of fruit in pairs. 52 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 53 Reclining upon thrones that are lined with brocade, with the fruit of both Gardens close enough to be picked from under. 54 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 55 Therein are those of modest gaze, whom neither man nor jinni will have touched before them. 56 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 57 They are like rubies and coral-stone. 58 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 59 Can any thing else be a response to a favor but a favor? 60 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 61 And besides these two other gardens -- 62 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain beli? 63 The greenest of green pastures. 64 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 65 In them (each) will be two Springs pouring forth water in continuous abundance: 66 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 67 In both of them will be [all kinds of] fruit, and date-palms and pomegranates. 68 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 69 In these [gardens] will be [all] things most excellent and beautiful. 70 jinn and mankind - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny 71 Houris cloistered in pavilions -- 72 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - 73 There hath deflowered them neither man nor jinn. 74 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 75 Reclining on green Cushions and rich Carpets of beauty. 76 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 77 HALLOWED be thy Sustainer's name, full of majesty and glory! 78
