▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
And for him who fears to stand before his Lord are two gardens. 46 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 47 With spreading branches. 48 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 49 In the two gardens there will be two flowing springs. 50 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 51 In them (both) will be every kind of fruit in pairs. 52 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 53 Reclining on carpets whereof the linings will be of brocade; and the fruit of the two Gardens shall be near at hand. 54 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 55 Therein are maidens of modest gaze, whom neither a man nor a jinn had ever touched before them. 56 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 57 [When you are promised splendours] as though [of] rubies and [of] pearls 58 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 59 Can the reward of goodness be any other than goodness? 60 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 61 Besides those two there shall be two other gardens. 62 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 63 dark green in color. 64 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 65 In both of them live springs gush forth. 66 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 67 In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates. 68 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 69 therein maidens good and comely -- 70 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 71 Companions restrained (as to their glances), in (goodly) pavilions;- 72 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - 73 Undeflowered by man or by jinn before them, -- 74 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 75 reclining upon green cushions and lovely druggets -- 76 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 77 Blessed be the name of your Lord, the Lord of Glory and Honor! 78
