▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
BUT FOR THOSE who of their Sustainer's Presence stand in fear, two gardens [of paradise are readied] 46 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 47 These Gardens will abound in green, blooming branches. 48 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 49 In both of them are two springs, flowing. 50 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 51 In both of them, there will be two kinds of every fruit. 52 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 53 (They shall) recline on couches lined with brocade, and the fruits of the Gardens will be near at hand. 54 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 55 Wherein both will be those (maidens) restraining their glances upon their husbands, whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them. 56 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 57 (In beauty) like the jacynth and the coral-stone. 58 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 59 Is the reward of goodness aught but goodness? 60 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 61 And beside the two there will be two other Gardens. 62 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 63 Dark green (in colour). 64 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 65 In them (both) will be two springs gushing forth water. 66 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 67 In which will be the fruit, date-palms and pomegranates. 68 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 69 Wherein (are found) the good and beautiful - 70 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 71 Houris cloistered in pavilions -- 72 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 73 There hath deflowered them neither man nor jinn. 74 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 75 [They will live in such a paradise] reclining upon green cushions and the finest carpets. 76 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 77 Blessed is the Name of your Lord, the Lord of Glory and Grace. 78
