Al-Rahman 3 of 3
There are two gardens for one who fears standing before his Lord. 46 (jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 47 Full of overhanging branches -- 48 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 49 Wherein are two fountains flowing. 50 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 51 In them there are pairs of each kind of fruit. 52 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 53 [They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low. 54 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 55 Therein shall be those of refraining looks whom before them hath deflowered neither man nor jinn. 56 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 57 As though they are jacinth and coral. 58 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 59 What is the reward of virtue except virtue (in return)? 60 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 61 And beside these there shall be two Gardens. 62 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 63 Of darkest verdant green -- 64 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 65 In both of them are two springs gushing forth. 66 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 67 In them are fruits, palm trees and pomegranates. 68 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 69 In them are women of good behaviour and gorgeous faces. 70 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? -- 71 [There the blest will live with their] companions pure and modest, in pavilions [splendid] 72 which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 73 Whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them. 74 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 75 Reclining on green cushions and fine carpets. 76 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 77 Blessed is the Name of your Lord, the Lord of Glory and Grace. 78

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
