▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
And for him who dreadeth the standing before his Lord will be two Gardens. 46 which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 47 [There will be two gardens with] spreading branches. 48 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 49 In them (each) will be two Springs flowing (free); 50 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 51 Therein are two kinds of every fruit. 52 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 53 They will recline on Carpets, whose inner linings will be of rich brocade: the Fruit of the Gardens will be near (and easy of reach). 54 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 55 In them are women limiting [their] glances, untouched before them by man or jinni - 56 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 57 Lovely as rubies and pearls. 58 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 59 Is the reward of goodness aught save goodness? 60 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 61 And beside the two there will be two other Gardens. 62 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 63 two [gardens] of the deepest green. 64 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 65 Wherein are two abundant springs. 66 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 67 Wherein is fruit, the date-palm and pomegranate. 68 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 69 Therein (gardens) will be fair (wives) good and beautiful; 70 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? -- 71 houris, cloistered in cool pavilions -- 72 jinn and mankind - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny 73 Whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them. 74 Which, then, of the benefits of Your Lord will ye twain belie? 75 [In such a paradise will they dwell,] reclining upon meadows green and carpets rich in beauty. 76 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 77 Blessed is the Name of your Lord, the Lord of Glory and Grace. 78
