▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
For any who fears to stand before his Lord are two Gardens. 46 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 47 These Gardens will abound in green, blooming branches. 48 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 49 In them (each) will be two Springs flowing (free); 50 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 51 In them there are pairs of each kind of fruit. 52 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 53 Reclining there on carpets lined with brocade, fruits of the garden hanging low within reach. 54 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 55 Wherein both will be those (maidens) restraining their glances upon their husbands, whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them. 56 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 57 (In beauty) like the jacynth and the coral-stone. 58 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 59 Could the reward of good be aught but good? 60 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 61 And besides these two are two (other) gardens: 62 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - 63 Both [gardens] of the darkest green. 64 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 65 In [each of] these two [gardens] will two springs gush forth. 66 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 67 In them will be Fruits, and dates and pomegranates: 68 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 69 In the midst of these will be maidens, good and comely. 70 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 71 Pure ones confined to the pavilions. 72 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 73 untouched by jinn or mankind before. 74 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 75 [They will live in such a paradise] reclining upon green cushions and the finest carpets. 76 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 77 Blessed be the Name of your Lord (Allah), the Owner of Majesty and Honour. 78
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
