▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
For any who fears to stand before his Lord are two Gardens. 46 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 47 With spreading branches; 48 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 49 In both of them, there are two springs flowing. 50 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 51 In which will be of every fruit two kinds. 52 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 53 [In such a paradise the blest will dwell,] reclining upon carpets lined with rich brocade; and the fruit of both these gardens will be within easy reach. 54 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 55 In them will be (Maidens), chaste, restraining their glances, whom no man or Jinn before them has touched;- 56 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 57 who are as beautiful as rubies and pearls. 58 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 59 Can the reward of goodness be any other than goodness? 60 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 61 And beside the two there will be two other Gardens. 62 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 63 Dark-green in colour (from plentiful watering). 64 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 65 In the Gardens are two springs, overflowing with abundance. 66 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 67 Therein will be fruits and dates and pomegranates. 68 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 69 Therein (gardens) will be fair (wives) good and beautiful; 70 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 71 They are houris (maidens of Paradise), hidden from view, in pavilions. 72 jinn and mankind - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny 73 untouched before them by any man or jinn -- 74 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 75 They will be reclining on plain green and beautifully printed cushions 76 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 77 Blest be the name of thine Lord, Owner Of Majesty and Beneficence! 78
