The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the Occurrence occurs, 1 no soul will deny its coming. 2 Abasing exalting. 3 When the earth will be shaken with a terrible shake. 4 and the mountains will crumble 5 So they will become like fine dust, scattered in a shaft of light. 6 And ye will be three kinds: 7 The People on the Right: and how fortunate will be the People on the Right! 8 And those on the left hand; how miserable shall those on the left hand be! 9 And those foremost [(in Islamic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam,] will be foremost (in Paradise). 10 It is they who are the close ones. 11 in the beautiful Paradise. 12 A large group from the earlier generations. 13 And a few from the latter. 14 [They will be seated] on gold-encrusted thrones of happiness, 15 Reclining thereon facing each other. 16 Youths of never-ending bloom will pass round to them 17 carrying goblets and ewers and cups filled with the purest wine, 18 Wherefrom they get no aching of the head nor any madness, 19 And fruit; that they may choose. 20 Bird meats that they relish, 21 And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, 22 like the pearls in their shells: 23 A reward for what they used to do. 24 There hear they no vain speaking nor recrimination 25 Other than "Peace, peace" the salutation. 26 As for the people of the right hand, how happy they will be! 27 (They will be) among Lote-trees without thorns, 28 and banana trees, 29 And in everlasting shade. 30 Gushing water, 31 And fruit in plenty, 32 Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, 33 And [upon] beds raised high. 34 Perfectly We formed them, perfect, 35 And have made them virgins. 36 full of love, well-matched 37 For the fellows on the right hand. 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
