The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the inevitable event comes, 1 Then will no (soul) entertain falsehood concerning its coming. 2 abasing [some,] exalting [others]! 3 When the earth shall be shaken to its depths, 4 And the mountains will be crushed, blown to bits. 5 and become like scattered dust particles, 6 and you shall be three bands -- 7 Those on the right hand; how happy shall those on the right hand be! 8 Companions of the Left, what are the Companions of the Left? 9 And those foremost [(in Islamic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam,] will be foremost (in Paradise). 10 These will be those Nearest to Allah: 11 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise). 12 Many of them will be from the ancient people 13 and a few from later times. 14 (They will be) on thrones woven with gold and precious stones, 15 Reclining thereon, face to face. 16 Surrounded by immortal boys. 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of limpid drink. 18 Their heads shall not ache with it, nor shall they lose their senses. 19 they will also go about them with the fruits of which they may choose, 20 And with flesh of fowls from that which they desire. 21 And (there will be) Houris (fair females) with wide, lovely eyes (as wives for the pious), 22 like hidden pearls, 23 shall be their recompense for their deeds. 24 There hear they no vain speaking nor recrimination 25 Except the saying, “Peace, peace.” 26 The Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 27 They shall be in the midst of thornless lote trees, 28 and clustered bananas, 29 And spreading shade, 30 and outpoured waters, 31 and abundant fruit, 32 never-ending and unrestricted, 33 And [upon] beds raised high. 34 Surely We have made them to grow into a (new) growth, 35 Then We have made them virgins, 36 Loving (their husbands only), equal in age. 37 For those on the Right Hand. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
