The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the Terror descends 1 Then none will be able to deny its occurrence. 2 Degrading (some) and exalting (others); 3 when the earth shall be rocked 4 and the mountains are totally shattered and crumble to pieces 5 and become like scattered dust particles, 6 And you shall be three sorts. 7 Thus, there shall be such as will have attained to what is right: oh, how [happy] will be they who have attained to what is right! 8 And there shall be such as will have lost themselves in evil: oh, how [unhappy] will be they who have lost themselves in evil! 9 And the foremost in the race, the foremost in the race: 10 Those! they shall be the brought nigh, 11 In the Gardens of Pleasure, 12 A [large] company of the former peoples 13 but only a few from the later generations. 14 They will recline on jewelled couches 15 facing one another. 16 they will be waited on by ageless youths 17 With bowls and ewers and a cup from a pure spring 18 neither causing headaches, nor intoxication; 19 and such fruits as they shall choose, 20 and the meat of any bird that they may desire; 21 and wide-eyed houris 22 like hidden pearls, 23 A reward for what they used to do. 24 They will not hear therein any vain or sinful talk, 25 Other than "Peace, peace" the salutation. 26 The Companions of the Right Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 27 They shall recline on high amidst lote trees without thorns 28 And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another. 29 And in everlasting shade. 30 and flowing water 31 And fruit abundant. 32 Neither intercepted nor forbidden, 33 and upraised couches. 34 for, behold, We shall have brought them into being in a life renewed, 35 and shall have made them virgins, 36 Beloved (by nature), equal in age,- 37 For the fellows on the right hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
