The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the inevitable event comes, 1 – and then there will be no one to deny its occurrence – 2 abasing, exalting, 3 When the earth is shaken up convulsively, 4 And the mountains are broken down, crumbling 5 so that they become as scattered dust 6 And ye are classes three. 7 Then (as to) the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 8 Then those of the left hand -- how (unhappy) will be those of the left hand! 9 And those Foremost (in Faith) will be Foremost (in the Hereafter). 10 They shall be near-stationed (to their Lord), 11 They are in Gardens of peace. 12 A throng of the ancients, 13 And a few from among the latter. 14 On lined couches, 15 reclining on them facing each other; 16 (and there) shall wait on them immortal youths 17 Cups and decanters, beakers full of sparkling wine, 18 (no brows throbbing, no intoxication) 19 and with fruit of any kind that they may choose, 20 And meat of birds that they may wish. 21 And there will be fair ones large eyed. 22 like the pearls in their shells: 23 As recompense for all they had done. 24 They will not hear any unnecessary or sinful talk 25 Other than "Peace, peace" the salutation. 26 And those on the right – how (fortunate) are those on the right! 27 Among thorn-less lote-trees. 28 And clustered plantains, 29 In shade long-extended, 30 and flowing water 31 and abundant fruit, 32 never-failing and never out of reach. 33 And couches raised up. 34 We have created (their Companions) of special creation. 35 So made them as maidens. 36 Loving (their husbands only), equal in age. 37 For those of the right hand. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
