The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Event inevitable cometh to pass, 1 there is no denying its coming 2 abasing [some,] exalting [others]! 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 The mountains bruised and crushed, 5 they will become like dust scattered around. 6 You shall then become three groups. 7 Companions of the Right, what are the Companions of the Right? 8 The people of the left hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their left hands. How miserable they will be! 9 And the forerunners, the forerunners - 10 those are they brought nigh the Throne, 11 in the Gardens of Delight, 12 A [large] company of the former peoples 13 And a few from the latter. 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 reclining on them facing each other; 16 (and there) shall wait on them immortal youths 17 With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains: 18 Wherefrom they get no aching of the head nor any madness, 19 And such fruits as they fancy, 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire to eat; 21 and there shall be wide-eyed maidens, 22 like hidden pearls, 23 The reward for what they did. 24 There hear they no vain speaking nor recrimination 25 only the saying 'Peace, Peace!' 26 As for the People on the Right, how fortunate shall be the people on the Right! 27 They will be in (the shade) of thornless lote 28 And clusters of banana plants. 29 And a shade ever-spread. 30 and waters gushing, 31 and fruit abounding, 32 Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, 33 And [upon] beds raised high. 34 Verily We! We have created those maidens by a creation. 35 And made them virgins. 36 intensely loving and of matching age. 37 for the people of the right hand 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
