The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ WHEN WHAT IS to happen comes to pass -- 1 There is no denying that it will befall - 2 Abasing (one party), exalting (the other), 3 When the earth shall be shaken to its depths, 4 and the mountains fragmented 5 And become dust dispersing. 6 [on that Day] you shall be divided into three groups. 7 The People on the Right: and how fortunate will be the People on the Right! 8 And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left? 9 The third to the fore shall be the foremost. 10 Those are they who will be brought nigh 11 in the beautiful Paradise. 12 A [large] company of the former peoples 13 And a few of later ages, 14 (They will be) on thrones woven with gold and precious stones, 15 Reclining therein face to face. 16 Immortal youths will serve them 17 With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains: 18 Their heads shall not ache with it, nor shall they lose their senses. 19 they will also go about them with the fruits of which they may choose, 20 Bird meats that they relish, 21 And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, 22 like hidden pearls, 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 There hear they no vain speaking nor recrimination 25 except each other's greetings of, "Peace be with you". 26 The Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 27 [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed 28 And clusters of banana plants. 29 and spreading shade 30 And water poured out 31 And fruit in plenty 32 Neither intercepted nor forbidden, 33 And raised couches; 34 Surely We have made them to grow into a (new) growth, 35 and made them virgins, 36 Loving companions matched in age, 37 For the Companions of the Right Hand. 38

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
