The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Terror descends 1 – and then there will be no one to deny its occurrence – 2 (it will) abase (some) and exalt (others). 3 When the earth shall be shaken to its depths, 4 and the mountains are shattered into [countless] shards, 5 So that they become dust seattered. 6 You shall then become three groups. 7 Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 8 And those on the left – how (wretched) are those on the left! 9 The third to the fore shall be the foremost. 10 they who were [always] drawn close unto God! 11 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise). 12 A numerous company from among the first, 13 And a few of those (foremost) will be from the later time (generations). 14 On thrones woven [with ornament], 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Round about them shall go youths never altering in age, 17 with goblets and ewers and a cup filled with a drink drawn from a running spring, 18 (no brows throbbing, no intoxication) 19 And fruit of what they select 20 And meat of birds that they may wish. 21 And gorgeous eyed fair maidens. 22 The likenesses of pearls well-protected, 23 as reward for their deeds. 24 Therein they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 The Companions of the Right Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 27 Among thornless lote-trees 28 Bananatrees, piled 29 and amid the extended shade 30 and outpoured waters, 31 and an abundance of fruits, 32 Whose season is not limited, nor (supply) forbidden, 33 And raised couches; 34 We have formed them in a distinctive fashion, 35 And made them virginal, 36 Loving, equals in age, 37 For those on the right hand; 38

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
