The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the Event inevitable cometh to pass, 1 no soul will deny its coming. 2 The event will be abasing some, and exalting some. 3 When the earth is shaken violently, 4 and the mountains fragmented 5 So that they become dust seattered. 6 You shall then become three groups. 7 Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand;- What will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 8 Companions of the Left, what are the Companions of the Left? 9 And the foremost in the race, the foremost in the race: 10 These are they who are drawn nigh (to Allah), 11 In the Gardens of Pleasure, 12 A multitude of those of old 13 And a few of later ages, 14 on lavish couches 15 Reclining thereon, face to face. 16 There shall go round unto them youths ever-young. 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of pure drink; 18 Unheady, uninebriating; 19 they will also go about them with the fruits of which they may choose, 20 and such flesh of fowl as they desire, 21 And there will be fair ones large eyed. 22 like the pearls in their shells: 23 A recompense for that which they have been working. 24 They will hear no nonsense there or talk of sin, 25 Except the word peace, peace. 26 As for the people of the right hand, how happy they will be! 27 They will live amid the thornless lot trees 28 Among Talh (banana-trees) with fruits piled one above another, 29 and extended shade, 30 and flowing water, 31 And fruit in plenty, 32 Whose season is not limited, and their supply will not be cut off, 33 and raised couches 34 We have indeed developed these women with an excellent development. 35 and made them virgins, 36 The beloved of their husbands, of one age. 37 For the companions of the right [who are] 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
