The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the inevitable event takes place, 1 there will be nought that could give the lie to its having come to pass, 2 It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]. 3 When the earth shall be shaken to its depths, 4 and the mountains fragmented 5 and become a dust, scattered, 6 You will become three categories: 7 The People on the Right: and how fortunate will be the People on the Right! 8 And those on the left how (wretched) are those on the left! 9 And the foremost are the foremost, 10 Those are the ones brought near [to Allah] 11 They are in Gardens of peace. 12 a host of the ancients 13 but [only] a few of later times. 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 reclining on them facing each other; 16 Immortal youths will wait upon them 17 With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains: 18 Whereby there shall be neither headiness nor will they be inebriated. 19 with fruits of their own choice 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire. 21 And gorgeous eyed fair maidens. 22 The like of the hidden pearls: 23 All this shall be theirs as a reward for their deeds. 24 They shall not hear therein vain or sinful discourse, 25 Nought but the saying: peace! peace! 26 Those on the Right, how fortunate are those on the Right! 27 They shall recline on high amidst lote trees without thorns 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 and spreading shade 30 Gushing water, 31 And abundant fruit, 32 never-ending and unforbidden. 33 And couches raised up. 34 Lo! We have created them a (new) creation 35 And made them virgins, 36 Lovers, friends, 37 for the Companions of the Right 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
