The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the Event will come to pass 1 no soul will deny its coming. 2 Abasing exalting. 3 When the earth is shaken with convulsion 4 and the mountains will crumble 5 and become a dust, scattered, 6 You will become three categories: 7 Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 8 And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand! 9 And the foremost in the race, the foremost in the race: 10 those are they brought nigh the Throne, 11 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise). 12 A numerous company from among the first, 13 And a few of the later peoples, 14 On thrones decorated, 15 Reclining on them, facing one another. 16 Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of pure drink; 18 Unheady, uninebriating; 19 along with fruits of their choice; 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire to eat; 21 and fair maidens with large, lustrous eyes 22 Like unto preserved pearls. 23 As reward for what they used to do. 24 They will not hear any useless speech in it, or any sin. 25 only the words of peace and tranquillity. 26 The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 27 They will be in (the shade) of thornless lote 28 Among Talh trees with flowers (or fruits) piled one above another,- 29 And shade extended 30 Gushing water, 31 and fruits abounding 32 Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, 33 And couches raised up. 34 and the noble maidens that We have created 35 and made them virgins, 36 Loving, equals in age, 37 with those who have attained to righteousness: 38
